Rituals:
Moon Worship
Every full moon, the cats will all gather on a ledge on the mountain at every full moon, and they will talk for a while until the dome is directly over head, and then the Healer will speak the words of our ancestors in honor of the moon and the other cats will repeat after. What they say is different each year and the leader is led to the proper words by the ancestors. After that each cat will take a sip of the water in the lake on the ridge in turn, the moon always reflecting directly above.
Speaking to Ancestors
You can speak to the ancestors if you are or are not the healer. When speaking to the ancestors, they will come to you if they have something to say. If you have a question to ask them, though, you must go in a cave that is linked through the healers den to a underwater river and take a sip. Then when you sleep the following night one of the ancestors, probably one related directly to you, will come to you in your dreams no matter what.
Ceremonies:
Kit to Hunter To-be
This will be 6 moons after birth.
"____________, you have grown as a kit and will now be trained into being a hunter. If you have any objections to training under ___________ until you are a hunter, or any objections to being a hunter, speak now."
"I don't"
"Then you will train under___________ until you become a full hunter."
Kit to Fighting to-be
This will be 6 moons after birth.
"____________, you have grown as a kit and will now be trained into being a cave guard. If you have any objections to training under ___________ until you are a cave guard, or any objections to being a cave guard, speak now."
"I don't"
"Then you will train under___________ until you become a full cave guard."
Hunter To-be to Hunter
This will be upon the completion of one's final assessment, which is normally upon turning 12 moons.
"________, you have trained well and deserve this new title. Do you promise to be a loyal hunter?"
"I do"
"You are now a hunter of Luna tribe, bound by the moon and loyal by your bonds."
Fighting To-be to Cave Guard
This will be upon the completion of one's final assessment, which is normally upon turning 12 moons.
"________, you have trained well and deserve this new title. Do you promise to be a loyal cave guard?"
"I do"
"You are now a cave guards of Luna tribe, bound by the moon and loyal by your bonds."
