Sandlily Sat outside the warrior den, her pale ginger tail over her pale ginger paws. She had woken up earlier then she had liked this morning because she couldn't sleep from what had been happening. So much has happened lately, she had become deputy and has met her brother. To much was happening and anyone could see the look of exhuastion on her face.
Suddenly an unfamiler tom appeared in view making her tilt her head slightly. She padded up.to him dipping her head kindly. Hello, I'm Sandlily, the deputy, but you must know that already. I don't seem to know your name. Who might you be? She asked.

Goldenleap was coming out of the warrior's den. As he did so, he turned his head and raised a fictional eyebrow. She introduced herself, and guessed correctly he already knew who she was.
Pfft. Only an idiot wouldn't know who Sandlily was. She was inducted as deputy recently, so unless you were an idiot or suffered from short-term memory loss... You had to know. Though, he was surprised she hadn't heard of him. He was positive his half-siblings would've harped on and on about how terrible he was. About how he was a mistake. A curse. He supposed they hadn't gotten to the deputy somehow.
He wore a cocky grin. "Name's Goldenleap."

Sandlily Nodded as, Goldenleap introduced himself in a kindly mannor. She felt really bad not knowing her own clanmates name. Some deputy you are! Her mind growled rudly in her mind making her feel a little sad, but didn't show it.
Well, it's nice to meet you, Goldenleap. She dipped her head kindly smiling a little thinking of another conversation point. Maybe we could share a peice of prey? And talk? She suggested.

Goldenleap was positive that Sandlily had never come in contact with any of his half-siblings. No cat would even share prey with him. Somehow they thought his bite would poison the prey and make ones days numbers, which was ridiculous. There was no such thing.
He hummed in response. "I wouldn't mind." He didn't mind a lot of things.

Sandlily Nodded to Goldenleap and walked over to the prey pile looking around it before looking towards him. What would you like to eat? She asked him thoughtfully not minding what he chose.

Goldenleap followed Sandlily to the prey pile. He cocked his head lazily. "Mm... How about a lizard?" He suggested.

Sandlily Nodded and picked up a lizard that was a decent size and had enough meat om them. Alright, come on. She meowed leading him to a rocky ledge that she usally ate on.

Goldenleap calmly followed after Sandlily and joined her on a ledge. He made himself comfortable and he lazily flicked the tip of tail. He was clearly waiting for her.

Sandlily Laid down across from him the lizard in front of her and in front of him. She dipped her head, signaling he could eat first, she normaly wasn't that hungry, a small lizard or mouse fit her needs. So, how are you enjoying new-leaf so far?

Goldenleap absentmindedly flicked his tail to the other side behind him. He took a small bite from the scaly creature. After he chewed the meat in his mouth and swallowed, he decided to respond. "Same as the rest of the year." He replied with a bored tone. In the desert, the differences between the seasons were lesser. It was generally just a lot of sand all the time. The only difference was the small amount of rain that visited yearly.

Sandlily shrugged in agreement and toke only a small strip of meat off the lizard and chewed slowly. She looked at Goldenleap with a honest expression. Honestly all I notice is that it gets hotter out by mid newleaf. The prey is scarce besides lizards and I sweat a lot more. She meowed somewhat sharing the same bitterness.

Goldenleap closed his eyes as he ripped another piece of flesh from the creature. He shrugged in response. "At this point... I don't care." Flareclan's cats were just as cruel as the sandy desert. He stopped caring a long time ago.

And you've got an attitude. She growled her eyes narrowed to green slits as she watched him rip more meat off. She honestly wasn't like this, she rarely ever had a snappy attitude towards another.

Goldenleap shrugged. "It's not you." He clarified. "It's the same heat every year. Nothing special." He claimed, not at all bothered by Sandlily's snappish words. He tore more meat from the prey.

Sandlily Nodded raising a fictional kitty brow glad that it wasn't bout her. True it's always the same, but nothing ever is going to change. She meowed honestly.
