( Redfeather ) Minkfrost was twisting his nose as he traveled to the border of MoonClan, to the right of the gathering area. More than checking the borders for intruders, he wanted to relax for a bit near the trees. The lanky tom found an open patch of trees and sat where the sunlight hit his dark brown fur. The Havana deputy twitched his nose more with the scent of MoonClan.

Redfeather found herself hunting by the Mistclan-Moonclan border again.
A bird escaped her claws as it fled across the border. She sighed as an ear flicked. She wondered what was so alluring about the border. It was a true mystery as to why hunting prey had led her to here once again. Come to thing of it, this was practically the same stretch of border!
The only difference was that it was a bird, not a mouse this time. Further, the moon was high in the sky as opposed to just barely peeking out over the horizon. Her ears perked up as she heard pawsteps approaching.
"Well, well, well...." She put up a cocky grin. "Are we forest dwellers truly that interesting to you mountain cats?"

Minkfrost froze when a bird flew over head, something that made his stomach rumble the slightest bit. His eyes narrowed as he knew someone must be there, then heard a voice. "I was just here to relax, and I suppose you were hunting?" The tom's long sleek tail swayed back and forth as he came closer to the border, just to see who he was looking at exactly. That must be the deputy? he thought, not exactly remembering her.

Redfeather only purred with a smirk, in response.
"Got it in one!" She tilted her head. "And you're the Mistclan deputy, are you not?" She got a mischievous grin on her face. "I can't quite recall your name... What was it? Pinkdot?"

"I am," he mewed. He frowned, "You probably think you're oh so funny, don't you?" he said in disgust. "Minkfrost, and you're Redfeather, aren't you?"

Redfeather snorted.
"I don't think. I know I'm hilarious." She insisted with a smirk. "And yes, I am Redfeather. Seems your memory is better than mine." Her tail passively waved slowly back and forth behind her. She seemed completely at ease, as if conversation across borders was the norm.

"Oh. I'm laughing so hard," he said in a monotone voice. "I do wonder why you aren't turning around and finding some other prey to catch." The tom twitched his ears and stared at the other deputy, silently not wanting a fight.

Redfeather huffed.
"I'm too busy thinking about how your leader is more interesting than you..." She commented, though strangely it didn't seem like she was talking to Minkfrost. "I suppose I should savor the days before Mistclan becomes a complete bore under your leadership..."

Minkfrost sighed and hung his head down for a moment, "Okay, okay," he mewed looking back up, "I just don't understand how you became a deputy." The tom sniffed, "Yes, Sagestar is pretty amazing and all, I help, it's not boring there." Minkfrost then shook his head, "And I assume MoonClan will be insane with your leadership?"

Redfeather sniffed.
"I became deputy because I have the proper skillset." She claimed, seeming offended at the words, despite her emerald eyes still twinkling with mischief. She sniffed. "Pfft, that's not how it works. Craziness isn't viral." She insisted. "Their patience however, may be tested when that day comes." She admitted. "But I believe it'll be better than a clan of stoic brats who don't know how to take a joke." She sniffed.

Minkfrost huffed, his tail swishing as he talked, Sure to drive them crazy. "Well, it's hard to take a joke when there's too many," he mewed with his nose twitching.

Redfeather mocked his huff, by huffing exaggeratedly.
"Well excuse me, some cats ie, your's truly, believe life is too short to be wasting it being a stick in the mud." She insisted, somehow managing to lace her words with an accusing tone.

The tom sighed, "Well, that doesn't mean I'm always like that, you interrupted me when I was trying to relax." The skinny brown male decided to calm down, rather than argue.

Redfeather hummed in response.
"Mm... I suppose first impressions aren't always accurate." She conceded, though she didn't seem all too bothered at being proven wrong. She donned the grin of mischief again. "I figure I get a bit cranky as well."

"I apologize for seeming, rude," he mewed, with a slight nod. The tom twitched his ears, "How is the prey running?" he asked, trying to get a better conversation.
