RedfeatherSagestar was doing her daily border check, but she'd gotten up late so the sun was already going down. There weren't many cats in her Clan, so no other warriors were able to spare the time to go with her. As she padded along MoonClan's border, she caught the scent of another cat. She recognized it to be Redfeather, the deputy of MoonClan. Not a surprise, because MoonClan cats hunted at night, and it was getting rather late out. She felt a growl raise up in her throat. "I know you're there, Redfeather. I hope you're not thinking of coming into my territory." she said, her voice snarky. She wasn't one to start fights, but if the situation called for it, she would. She had to protect her Clan, even at the cost of her life. That's what the warrior code said, at least.

((No clue. Redfeather is definitely one of my stranger warrior cats OCs.))
Redfeather lifted a fictional eyebrow.
"And... Mistclan doesn't kill things?" She asked. She didn't even wait for an answer. "Then I suppose you're all vegetarians, eating your weird mountain plants." She was fairly sure there was no point to this conversation. Nor was there any logic to be found here. Oh well. No such thing as time wasted, right?

Sagestar rolled her eyes. "Of course we kill prey but other than that, not much. she thought for a moment, unsure of what to say next. She was getting a bit psyched out by this conversation -- she couldn't tell where it was heading at all. But hey, there was nothing else to do, right? "And by 'weird mountain plants,' well, they'd be herbs. Herbs that you can't find down here...they might be helpful for your sanity." she said with an exaggerated laugh.

Redfeather huffed.
"Do you even have catmint on your mountain?" She questioned. Honestly, she was curious. It wasn't like she knew the ins and outs of the other clan's territories. They tended to be a bit... Prickly at times concerning matters such as this. Though, this conversation was still pretty weird.

"Catmint? Of course we do! We've got such a diverse ecosystem in our territory that you can pretty much fine any herb you'd like.... not like I should be telling you any of this though." she said, giving a short chuckle. They seemed to be over the arguing phase of this discussion, so maybe they'd talk normally for once.

Redfeather shrugged.
"Mm.... Diverse? It just looks like a big mountain from down here." She smirked. "Bit of a skewed perspective, I assume?" She cocked her head. "Mm? Something tells me you aren't the subtle, sneaky sort."

Sagestar shrugged. "Eh, I don't know. But anyway, we have mountains, a bit of forest, and a waterfall with vegetation. What can't you find here?" she asked. She looked around at MoonClan's territory, what seemed to be an endless land of trees. "Besides, your land seems to just be trees...Surely that gets boring every now and then?" she inquired.

Redfeather shrugged.
"It's my home." She replied simply. "As your weird mountain is your's. It doesn't get boring." She smirked. "The forest has more to offer than you think." Of course, Redfeather wasn't going to say what these things were. Sure, Sagestar was offering some insight into her territory. But she wasn't going to do the same.

"More than we think? What's that supposed to mean? Eh, nevermind. I don't care that much." she said with a half-shrug. She hoped Redfeather would bring up something else to talk about, because she was getting sort of bored with this conversation but didn't want to leave just yet.

Redfeather yawned.
"Mm.... Now this has been fun, but I've got places to be, prey to murder..." She shot off a cocky grin and winked at Sagestar. "See ya around." Then the red-furred deputy whipped around and disappeared into the trees. She couldn't exactly spend the whole night talking with their neighbor's leaders and come back to camp empty-pawed.

Sagestar shrugged, and padded back further into her territory. She had things to do, places to be. A medicine cat to talk to.... Things like that. "Nice knowing you!" she threw over her shoulder and padded off.
