Lilycloud was a good medicine cat. Then again, in order to stay a medicine cat and be dependable, you had to be good. Lilycloud woke up that morning when the sun was just rising into the sky. Assuming her fellow medicine cat would know where she went, Lilycloud slipped out of her den and through the exit of the clan, hopping around the rocks that stuck out of the slope towards their main territory. Her blue eyes scanned some of the treeline, trying to determine which way to go today. These little deviances made life a little better for her, even if the best part of it was back at camp, probably still sleeping too.
She twitched an ear up, and heard some mice rushing around in the trees to her left. With that, the white she-cat decided to go right, towards the waterfall that fell from somewhere in camp. The medicine cat kept her eyes to the grasses, trying to spot any herbs. Maybe she should try and find some Thyme, in case someone got nervous speaking in front of the clan... or maybe some yarrow, in case someone got poisoned from deathberries. It could happen, Lilycloud tried to tell herself as she approached the clearing where the waterfall was. She let her eyes lift from the ground, and sat down, watching the mist the clan was presumably named after roll out.
It really was pretty. A good place for the herbs to rest, a good place to take another cat and talk about how pretty both were. Lilycloud looked at the ground, and grabbed some flowers from the ground, sure that they were yarrow flowers. Where was the crevice she usually stored flowers in around here...?
(TADAAAAA Sagestar you can come in now)

Sagestar had been going on a border patrol on her lonesome, just double-checking the borders to make sure her warriors hadn't missed anything. She also knew that the medicine cat, Lilycloud, had gone out of camp earlier, and she wanted to check in with her to make sure everything was okay. She followed Lilycloud's scent trail until she found the she-cat gathering flowers that she vaguely recognized as some kind of important herb. It was misty, but she could see clear enough to know that it was Lilycloud.
She padded toward Lilycloud, smiling as she saw that the other cat seemed to have found the herbs she needed. "Hey Lilycloud! How're you? Need help finding any herbs?" she asked, offering help if she could.

The white she-cat twisted her ears upwards, then turned around once she heard the voice of Sagestar. The Medicine Cat of mistclan couldn't smell anything through the yarrow in her jaws, so she had to depend on her sight and ears for this one. Shame, Sagestar actually looked like her scent would be nicer than normal. Lilycloud didn't really know what caused this feeling. The white cat pointed to the plants in her jaw, then walked by another tree, looking in it for a crack- there it was! She should try to do better remembering.
Lilycloud deposited the flowers into the tree, then turned back to Sagestar. "Hello, Sagestar! I'm doing well." She waved a tail for her greeting, "I will need help looking for other herbs, particularly thyme." She didn't know why she wanted thyme, but if it was a feeling, she was going to go for it. Lilycloud padded back towards the lake created by the waterfall, then looked back to Sagestar. "Do you know what thyme looks like?"
(oh yeah, is sagestar a orange cat...? i don't know what sagestar looks like aHAH)

(I actually haven't made a description for her yet ^^' but yeah, let's go with ginger/red)
Sagestar shook her head, somewhat embarrassed. "Thyme? Nope, I don't. Sorry! Would you mind describing it?" she asked the medicine cat. Sagestar didn't know what it was about the medicine cat, but she felt comfortable around her, and wanted to hang out with her medicine cat more often. Being a leader could get tiring, but she was determined to make time for her friends as well.

Lilycloud smiled at the leader, sitting down and looking at the edge of the water for an example to show the other cat. That is, if she could find it... Lilycloud didn't really know how to describe things... After a few moments of scouring the water's edge, Lilycloud sighed and looked back at Sagestar. A sight for the eyes that just spent a ton of time looking at green, green, and more green. "Thyme lives on... uh, small branch-like... things... and have small leaves that are connected to the... oh, right, it was called a stem..." Lilycloud laughed, looking back at the water with a bit of embarrasement. She found what she was just describing, and picked it off, walking closer to the leader to drop it at her feet. "Looks like this. Could you look for more like this?"
(aahahha oops)

Sagestar chuckled as Lilycloud described the herb. "A bit shy, are you?" she asked gently. She looked at the herb that Lilycloud had picked, and nodded. "Got it. I'll go find some. Want to come with me? You never know... I might forget what it looks like.... or get eaten by a...by a badger or something." she said. She later realized that there weren't any badgers in MistClan territory...

Lilycloud shook her head, an amused smile now on her face as she placed the thyme at her feet. "Just crap at describing things." She mewed back, then flicked her ears forward to let the leader continue talking. Lilycloud tilted her head slightly at Sagestar's question of letting her come with, but Lilycloud didn't mind much, considering Sagestar was good company. "Sounds good, Sage." She replied, not knowing badgers didn't live in Mistclan either. The white she-cat bent down her head to pick up the thyme, then walked next to Sagestar's side. She tilted her head forward, towards the forest, hoping her message of Shall we go was picked up upon.

Sagestar nodded at Lilycloud's head tilt and sniffed the thyme once more, remembering the scent so she could follow another scent of a different thyme plant. After a moment of sniffing the air, she said "There's none around here... do you know any good spots in our territory?" she asked, hoping the medicine cat might have more insight than her regarding the location of herbs. Sagestar realized that she herself should probably learn the location of herbs eventually; she was the leader after all.

Lilycloud smiled at Sagestar's question. She bowed her head forward, starting to pad forward. She knew the way, having walked this way many times during her apprenticeship and her current medicine cat life, and she knew that around the lake where the waterfall landed there was many good herbs to be found, but if she walked close to the river border... Lilycloud walked, then stopped, looking behind her again. "fowwow mm," she said, words muffled through the thyme in her mouth, then looked back and started to walk again, desperately hoping Sagestar's scent would be next to her soon enough.
(whooo!)

Dagestan smiled and followed after Lilycloud, tracking her scent through the mist. She kept on her trail, and they gradually came into an area where she began to smell thyme. She kept following Lilycloud, waiting for the signal to stop.

Lilycloud smiled once reaching the place she was sure was full of herbs, and looked around for somewhere to put her first set of thyme. She sighed through her nose, then turned around to get her tail to grab it. She dropped it from her tail, yes, but for Lilycloud, she now knew where not to look. "The scent will be stuck in my mouth for a while, so I'll just have to let it fade before hunting for more." The white she-cat twitched her whiskers, watching Sagestar. "However, I think the scent will have faded from your mouth already, so while I'm sitting here, waiting for it to air out, you can hunt for thyme." The white medicine cat of Mistclan tilted her head, thinking. "There should also be some yarrow around here, they're yellow flowers that grow in clumps. Don't swallow them, though, they can make you throw up."
She really didn't want Sagestar to make that mistake. Lilycloud shut her mouth, thyme scent still fresh from the thyme she carried here.

Sagestar smiled and nodded. "Sounds good!" she said to Lilycloud. She really didn't know what yarrow looked like, and she heeded her medicine cat's warning as not to swallow it. In fact, she decided she'd just avoid the plant all together until she knew exactly what the plant looked like. She instead followed the scent trail of the thyme, and was happy when she found a bit growing by a small creek. She picked as much of it as she could up in her mouth and padded back to Lilycloud. "Iws shis ot?" she asked through the thyme. Then she sat it down, and asked again: "Is this it?"

As the scent faded from her mouth, along with the taste, Sagestar padded over with a fresh batch of thyme, and Lilycloud smiled, padding over to the leader. "Yep. The taste is out of my mouth, so I'll go look for yarrow, since we're lowering in it in the storage." The white medicine cat walked past Sagestar, brushing furs with her, and put her nose to the air, sniffing. There were some yarrow around here somewhere, but the scent of some thyme was closer. Hmmm. Useful, just like her previous mentor had mentioned. She sniffed for the yarrow scent in the air, however, and started to pad towards the yarrow scent. She paused, then looked back at Sagestar. "You can look for more Thyme, if you would like." Lilycloud called out.
