Heatherbreeze woke up in the morning, checking her herbs once more before heading out to collect more. Most of them were easy and close by, but the lavender, which cures fever, was near by the Mistclan border. She climbed into the water and started to the far border. Her gaze wandered through the sky, watching the horizon. She swam quickly, ending up at the border just at sunhigh. She walked along the border. She knew it was there somewhere, but wasn't sure where. She sniffed the air as she got close, arriving at the plant before noticing that Sagestar was near by. "Sagestar," she greeted, "I know your there."She dipped her head, picking some branches from the bush that was half on each border. She placed it at her feet before looking up. "How are you?" she added politely. ( Sagestar, sorry for shortness.) |

Sagestar had been doing a quick border patrol when she'd come across the AquaClan border, home to the medicine cat of Heatherbreeze. She didn't really know the other cat, but she was always friendly at gatherings. Besides, everyone knows that you should be friendly with medicine cats, no matter what Clan. They might get a good word in with StarClan for you, you never know. "Hey Heatherbreeze." she said, bowing her head to the medicine cat. "How are you today?" she asked, giving her a small smile.

Heatherbreeze nodded. "I suppose you completely blacked out when I asked you the same thing?" she asked jokingly. "I'm fine though, thanks for asking. How are you?" her eyes were full of laughter, but she bit her lip, not wanting to offend the leader. "Just collecting some herbs. I suppose you are," she sniffed the air quickly, not smelling any food, "Patrolling the border?"
(Oh, and I heard you were no longer faithful to whisperclan. Tell me, what is this Starclan.)

Sagestar nodded. "Yep. There are barely any cats around camp today, so I figured I'd check the border in my free time. Why not?" she muttered, half to herself and half to Heatherbreeze.

Heatherbreeze growled as Sagestar seemed to be ignoring her. "How are you?" she asked again, more fierce this time as she was getting very irritated.

Sagestar shrugged, not really caring about Heatherbreeze's growl. "I'm fine." she said smoothly. "Are you finding all the herbs you need?" she asked her rival Clan's medicine cat.

Heatherbreeze nodded with a tense smile. "And are you getting all the..." she waved her tail around in a circle, "Patrolling you need?"

Sagestar gave the young medicine cat a half grin. "Yes." she said with a chuckle. "I'm getting all the patrolling I need." she said.
