Redfeather was glad just this once, her prey hadn't escaped across the border. Though, this time she was on the opposite side of the territory. Instead of hunting near the border shared with Mistclan, she was near the border shared with Flareclan. With a bird dangling from her jaws, the warm blood flowing down in veins down its inky black feathers, she descended down the tree. She had go up high, scaling the trees to catch the bugger. It was worth it though, every piece of prey was precious. She was practically on the border, though thankfully still on Moonclan's side. Her ears perked up as a scent hit her nose. Some cat from Flareclan. Her eyes turned to the right, across the border. Gah, she hoped she wouldn't be accused of thievery. That would just be annoying. Smokestar |

Not forgetting about the threat behind her Dawn-fox whips around and snarles, she slowly advances towards Smoakestar before she lashes out with a claw

Redfeather wrinkled her nose up. "Jeez, what have you been eating? Rotting corpses?" The fox growled at her and lunged recklessly at the red-furred deputy again. She sidestepped again. True, the fox was rather big... But it lacked the finesse that the warriors had ingrained in them. Or at least, that's how it worked in Moonclan. Then she saw the fox advancing towards Smokestar.
Then Redfeather cursed her own compassion. She leaped forward to sink her teeth into the fox's tail, to take the attention of it off the Flareclan leader and back on her.

Dawn-fox howls and spins around trying to throw off the... the... beast on her tail. She howls and spits and lashes out at Redfeather as she whips her tail closer. She swipes at the annoyance on her and tries to bite it as well

Redfeather found herself thrown off, though her play had been successful. The fox's attention was on her now. It would be trying to kill her now. From a more logical standing point, Smokestar not only had multiple lives, but also was of a different clan. She likely should've let the fox attack Smokestar... But.. That just wasn't her.
Redfeather was trying to get back on her paws, to where she'd been knocked to the ground, when suddenly pain shot through her shoulder. She hissed loudly through her teeth, managing not to scream in pain. It was a little hard to focus, so she tried to scratch at the fox's face, though accuracy could not be depended on.

A claw misses her eye by a fraction of an inch and instinct kicks in. Dawn-fox rears back in fear. Realizes that she is fine and sipes at the cat trying to knock her down. As she falls she whips around she slashes and Smokestar and turns back to face Redfeather

Redfeather only narrowed her eyes as her claws barely missed the fox. Then pain shot through her as she was knocked to the ground, as she let loose a hiss through her teeth. It had knocked the wind out of her and she was breathing heavily as she was trying to stagger back to her paws. She leaped up to try and land on its back, trying to get an opening to sink her jaws into its flesh. ((Alright Silverstar .
