Redfeather was glad just this once, her prey hadn't escaped across the border. Though, this time she was on the opposite side of the territory. Instead of hunting near the border shared with Mistclan, she was near the border shared with Flareclan. With a bird dangling from her jaws, the warm blood flowing down in veins down its inky black feathers, she descended down the tree. She had go up high, scaling the trees to catch the bugger. It was worth it though, every piece of prey was precious. She was practically on the border, though thankfully still on Moonclan's side. Her ears perked up as a scent hit her nose. Some cat from Flareclan. Her eyes turned to the right, across the border. Gah, she hoped she wouldn't be accused of thievery. That would just be annoying. Smokestar

The charcoal bengal she-cat stepped out from among the trees(let's just say this is that sandy forest area on the map) and met the gaze of a MoonClanner. But rather than this being some ordinary warrior, Smokestar found herself staring at Redfeather, the Clan deputy. "Oh? Redfeather? I didn't expect it to be you." she meowed, eyeing how close the deputy was to the border.

((Mmkay.
The bird dropped from Redfeather's jaws.
She needed to let go of it in order to respond to... Ah. It was Smokestar, not just some random Flareclanner. Instantly, her features adopted a cocky expression. She raised a fictional eyebrow. "I could say the same to you, Smokestar."

Smokestar did not look pleased towards the cockiness. Her eyes narrowed, a cold emotion in her onyx orbs. Although her voice remained level and calm. "Yes. I suppose you could." she hummed, giving the sandy forest a glance. She remained frozen in her spot until her gaze returned to Redfeather. "It seems hunting it good." Her onyx eyes glanced at the bird, and then back to the deputy.

Tough crowd, it seemed.
Redfeather wondered why Smokestar seemed so stiff. Jeez, didn't this cat have a sense of humor? Thankfully, she wasn't exploding in anger and was rather calm. Unless she was angry and hiding it under calm... That happened to. Redfeather's rage tended to fluctuate between impulsive fire and quiet cold. It honestly depended.
She hummed in response. "Yes, it is quite good. Considering it's night." She gestured to the moon in the sky. "And that I got this here, birdie from a tree firmly on Moonclan's side." She emphasized that she'd caught it on not Flareclan's side.

Smokestar's eyebrow rose at Redfeather's final words. Though her face remained emotionless, besides the slight amusement in her voice. "I did not suggest you had not." she countered, flicking her ears towards the bird. She had been in this forest for about an hour now, just bored with the desert at that moment. Her interests tended to sway about and lead the FlareClan leader to patrol places alone, away from her Clanmates just from her non-social personality. So it wasn't like she had been just waiting for a MoonClanner to cross over her Clan's border.
Smokestar looked up at the dark sky with narrowed eyes, briefly making out the shimmering stars above. Hmm. How intriguing. The FlareClan leader lowered her head, eyeing Redfeather with interest. "Is MoonClan well?"

Redfeather simply shrugged at Smokestar's apparently eternal deadpan look. "Never hurts to check." She insisted, though she ended up her usual cocky smirk. In the face of a stranger, she didn't go anywhere without that smirk. Why she'd chosen a smirk of all things to present cats with, was a mystery. It often lead to assumptions that she was rather arrogant and prideful.
She hummed in response. "Mm.... I'd say so." She responded vaguely.

Her eyes narrowed at Redfeather's cocky smirk. Smokestar was not one for taking the little notes of offense very well. The charcoal Bengal she-cat leaned forward, a now deadly aura in her formerly lifeless onyx eyes. "Does something amuse you?" she asked in a tone that just oozed with her annoyance.
Slowly, Smokestar leaned back once more. She tended to do that when she was making threats... or more so, making 'a point' in her own head. "I see." she hummed quietly.

Redfeather wasn't a fool. She could tell Smokestar wasn't a fan of her act. Though, the leaning and the hostile glint in the Flareclan's leader's eyes were particularly telling. Her tone of voice spoke bounds as well. Still, her smirk did not falter. As her gaze casually wandered for effect, she replied. "Well... Little bit of everything I'd have to say."
Then Smokestar seemed to back away from the murder-y attitude, thankfully. "So glad I could help you see."

The smirk did not fade. And neither did Smokestar's annoyance as she stared Redfeather in the eyes for a good minute. Then, she dropped all acts of emotion in one sudden blink of her onyx eyes, and was lifeless once more. Bored, even, not that it was shown in her posture or expression whatsoever. "I have to agree a little with you there." was all the FlareClan leader mentioned, giving her black tail a sharp lash behind her back. Although, as much as life amused her, it also tended to annoy the leader as well.
"Are you trying to test my patience, MoonClanner?" she growled now, eyes narrowing once more, but she still refused emotion. But it was obvious Redfeather was angering her, since Smokestar had even dropped the deputy title to call the she-cat a simple 'MoonClanner' instead. "I'm not much for humor or snide comments."

Redfeather could sense that while Smokestar seemed less murderous, she seemed no less irritated with the red-furred deputy. She wondered if Smokestar was just weird or if this lack of emotion was a mask of sorts. She wouldn't be surprised if the latter were true. In her experience cats were more likely to have a story behind their strange actions. Yet, despite these observations, Redfeather's eyes continued to dance with mirth.
"Oh, it's nothing personal." She reassured the leader of Flareclan. "Oh, I gather. Not many cats really appreciate me." She tilted her head to the side. "I suppose you're just like all the rest, aren't you?" She purred.

(Heh, heh, heh... You thought this thread was private... You was WRONG!!!)
Filthy cat-es you steal from Dawn-fox, Dawn-fox KILL!
The fox would tilt her head back and screech in hate "Here I come filthys" She pelts down the slope of the Moonclan border and spots the two cats she scented earlier. Her muzzle curls back in a snarl and she snaps in fury. She leaps forward and tries to claw at the nearest cat (Redfeather) and she also tries to bite their leg

Redfeather was quite thoroughly confused by the fox. Now, it wasn't exactly... Stealthy... So it was relatively easy to wait for it to lunge for her, before throwing herself away from the border, further into Moonclan territory. She quickly managed to roll back onto her paws.
"I'll be very surprised if you maintain your poker face right now!"

Her jaws snapping on air Dawn whirls around stand snarls and her rancid breath floats across the border. "You wretched cats-es!" Her jaws snap a few times and she lunges for Redfeather again. This time she tries to use her strength to bowl over the cat

Smokestar stepped away as a fox suddenly appeared, lunging for Redfeather first. Instead of surprise, there was anger in her onyx gaze. The FlareClan leader watched silently as the fox tried to bite the MoonClan deputy, only for the she-cat to evade.
The fox tries again, snarling loudly in it's own anger, going after Redfeather once more.
Smokestar remained standing there, eyeing the border markings. She glanced up at Redfeather, her posture rigid. Ready to spring to help if the deputy asked for it, but not willing to trespass on her own conscious instinct.
{ SORRY it's late!! }
