Silverstar

Heatherbreeze nodded, keeping track of what she needed in her mind. Mostly just some yarrow and if possible honey would help seeing as some kit had a sore throat and hated the taste of herbs. She stepped out of the den to go out when she saw  Silverstar. "Hi Silverstar, how are you today?" she asked with a cheerful smile. "Are you  planning on going out today? Because I was going to go out to collect some herbs. It is a very nice day."

Stretching and slowly walking out of his den Silverstar takes a walk around the island smiling as he heard his name be called "Hey there Heather." He calls back.

"Are we going to leave the island?" He asks. He takes in what she said and responds with "Yes, it is a nice day."

Heatherbreeze smiled. "Yeah, I think I will. I need a fresh supply of yarrow and I can always use more poppies. Plus it'd be good for me to get a little swim in." she replied. "I can wait to collect herbs though if you wanted to talk." she added.

Nodding his approval he says "No, we should go grab the herbs as soon as possible" He blinks and takes a breath "Are we going to the shore or to another island?" He inquires. He starts to pad away and calls the last bit of his question over his shoulder

"I think yarrow can be found near the shore, but I haven't found poppy on the island, so I'm thinking we can get poppy then get the yarrow on the way back." she said as she started walking along with Silverstar. "Neither should be far though."
(I'm going to check in with sage and see what I can do about a map of the territory and what herbs can be found where)

"Ok, what do they look like, I can tell you if I have seen them. He frowns and tries to remember seeing any herb looking plants. "I did see something that was like... a cluster of white flowers, do those help?" (Just so you know he is talking about water hemlock) He continues out of the camp and follows the well tread path that leads to the beach.

(No I'm side tracked making a ma of a river cutting through a bunch of islands that Sage will approve of.)
"Poppy I'm guessing you've seen before. It is very common and that thing I give cats to help pain. They look like yellow or red flowers and grow in most places. Even two-legs have them in gardens." she said, looking around. And yarrow is a yellow or white flower. They grow in clumps like the flowers you said that you saw, but I'm pretty sure you saw water hemlock. It has smaller flowers and it can cause severe side effects including death. if there are any benefits I never learned them. she said as they approached a river. See the red flowers on the other side? Those are poppies." she pointed with her tail. She carefully wadded through the shallow water and reached the other side with a shake. "Not too deep." she noted for next time she whet to get herbs.

"Yeah I though so." He says slowly. Despite the fact he has never seen any of the described herbs. "Towels use herbs?!" He asks shocked. He looks at her with his mouth wide open. "IF they are white too how will I know the difference?" He asks nervously. He follows her to the river and looks at the plant she points to. "Poppy,got it. Shall I?" As she goes for the plant he mutters to himself "I guess not."

"Yeah I though so." He says slowly. Despite the fact he has never seen any of the described herbs. "Towels use herbs?!" He asks shocked. He looks at her with his mouth wide open. Heatherbreeze laughed. "Thats why it's crazy. They rarely pick the poppies and if they do they put it in their hair or something. I'm just hearing from other cats though." she shrugged. "Sorry, I ussually go out for herbs and forgot." she said as she crossed back over. "The yarrow also has a more purply center where the bees land. I'll let you get the yarrow." she added, mouth muffled by the herbs. she looked up at the sun. "The yarrow should be in that direction." she said, pointing with her tail to the right of the sun. "Downstearm from here."

Taking a breath he makes a quick message to Whisperclan "Please don't be Water Hemlock" He sets off down stream and keeps his eyes peeled for anything fitting the description. He thinks he spots it farther across and jumps into the water and swims towards it.

Heatherbreeze nodded. "That's it." she said, looking at the herb he had seemingly spotted. She walked slowly along the shore, giving Silverstar time to get to it before her. "Just don't accindentally swallow any." she added before he reached the herbs."[/b]

Whipping his head around to look at her he says shocked "And if I do? What wi-" He is cut off as his head goes under He shakes it off and continues until he is up against the herb. He bites at the stem and slowly brings it over to Heatherbreeze

Heatherbreeze laughed dropping the poppies for a moment. "Sorry, It's just that one of the first things I learned as a kit was that yarrow makes you throw up. That's the purpous of it, to get poison out of your system. I always used to help out the old medicine cat as a kit and once I wanted to know what it was so I ate some, but it was water hemlock instead of yarrow, so I had to take the yarrow quickly once the medicine cat found me. I guess water hemlock does look a lot like yarrow." she said, her laughter calming. "Here, take the poppies back and I'll grab the yarrow." she offered when Silverstar got to her.

A shiver sends its way down his spine. Silver climbs all the way out of the water and shakes his pelt off. He accepts her offer and places the herb on the ground and takes the poppy plant from her. Turning his back to her he starts back the way they came. "What was it like? The water hemlock?" He asks her slowly
