FlareClan's Territory and Camp
Sagestar , please look over this and message me if you have any questions, and would like to discuss a point I mentioned.
The moment you come near the FlareClan border, the first word on your mind is 'hot'. Our territory is absolutely scorching, but rather than something we've come to complain about, the heat serves as our most prideful aspect. Who can say they brave the flaming earth with each journey outside of camp? Who can stand strong in the blinding heat, as if it wasn't bothersome at all? No one else, but us.
For a great distance, all you see is barren rock and sand. The hills rise and the wind sweeps by. Although it looks deserted and quiet, a desert-land completely abandoned by life, this is where we belong. It is mostly sand beneath our paws, but dig a little further, and you come across a very strong patch of rock the deeper you get into our territory. Some places, the wind has stripped away all specks of the desert, and left a cracked and dry platform before it.
FlareClan's Camp
Our camp is situated at the only oasis in our territory, a rather beautiful pool of water that is about 30 feet wide, surrounded in a grassy forest and barren rock. The oasis forest acts as a shield against the blinding wind, surrounding our camp in a strong thicket wall grown over many, many moons of hard work. The dens are chilly, all carved into the barren rock to create cold caves underfoot, and made stronger by the sheer hardness of the rock itself. So there is no fear of a cave-in. The prey-pile sits in the middle of our camp, a smaller hollow dug into the earth that offers just enough shade to protect our food. The trees offer a calm place of shade, and the water a satisfying taste that is much clearer than any else ever existing, to our knowledge.
Clan Landmarks
Mudstone Den
Ruins of a small pyramid-like structure left by long-ago twolegs. Fun to explore in your free time. (No architectural discoveries can be made without ADMIN PERMISSION, humans don't come here anymore.)
Quicksand Land
A spooky area with quicksand in the middle of the desert. Easily blends in with sand, cats should be careful not to accidentally stumble into it.
Scorpion's Cross
Rocky spires point towards the blinding sun in a rocky land, located in the far corner of FlareClan's territory. With cacti in every other place, dangerous scorpions are known to skitter across their wasteland home. But as it is dangerous, it is one of the only shady places in the territory, and thus is a prey hotspot if cats know how to navigate the strange rocky paths and hidden crevices where deadly insects lay in wait.
Possible Border Dispute Area
*will be discussed and either denied or confirmed by Sagestar and the other leaders*
If you look at the map, you will spot the three areas I will point out. My idea is, they could be used as easy territory battle grounds. Where FlareClan would want the territory from their enemy, their enemy in question would fight to keep it. (like Sunningrocks)
MoonClan's Dispute -- If you look, there is a small spot on the map where the sand and the trees are together. This would make a forest that has a sandy floor. MoonClan would want this territory, as it is a FOREST, which it what they would likely own. But FlareClan would see the sand and forest, a prime hunting place for their barren land, and want it for themselves. (EVENLY CONSIDERED)
MistClan's Dispute -- If you look, the sand stretches out towards the silver circled area(what I believe is MistClan's territory) and offers a patch of grass between that circle and the sand. FlareClan's fight would be for the green area, a perfect contrast to the desert, and want it for themselves. (LESS LIKELY CONSIDERED)
AquaClan's Dispute -- If you look, the desert almost touches the shore of AquaClan's watery territory. As that is a water source, FlareClan would be quick to pounce on it. While AquaClan's fight would be, obviously, it's THEIR sandy shore. (EVENLY CONSIDERED)
If you have any landmark ideas, please message Smokestar.
